What Is Engine Oil?

Engine oil, also known as engine lubricant, is called engine oil in English. Its density is about 0.91×10³ (kg/m³). It can lubricate and reduce friction, assist in cooling, seal and prevent leakage, prevent rust and corrosion, and reduce shock and buffer. It is known as the "blood" of the car. Engine oil consists of two parts: base oil and additives. Base oil is the main component of lubricating oil and determines the basic properties of lubricating oil. Additives can make up for and improve the deficiencies in the performance of base oil and give it some new properties. It is an important component of lubricating oil.
