Oil Replacement For Diesel Generator Sets

After a diesel generator set has been used for a period of time, the engine oil needs to be replaced. So when can the engine oil of a diesel generator set be replaced? For some friends who are not familiar with the use of diesel generator sets, it is sometimes difficult to identify.
First of all, we need to understand that the engine oil used by diesel generator sets of different manufacturers and different powers is different. Under normal circumstances, the new engine should be replaced after 50 hours of first work and 50 hours after medium or major repairs. The engine oil replacement cycle is generally carried out at the same time as the oil filter (filter element), and the general engine oil replacement cycle is 250 hours or one month. When using Class 2 engine oil, the engine oil can be extended to work for 400 hours before replacement, but the oil filter (filter element) must be replaced.
If you want to accurately determine the replacement time of a diesel generator set, you need to understand some of the determination methods:
1. Use two glass test tubes with a diameter of 0.5 cm and a length of 20 cm, and fill them with 19 cm of new engine oil and used engine oil respectively. After sealing, invert the two tubes at the same time and record the time when the bubbles rise. If the difference between the two exceeds 20%, it means that the viscosity of the used engine oil has dropped too much and should be replaced.
2. Drop a drop of new engine oil and a drop of used engine oil on a white filter paper for comparison. If there are more black spots in the used oil drop, it means that the engine oil has not deteriorated and should not be replaced; if the engine oil is dark brown, it is deteriorated and should be replaced.
The replacement of diesel generator oil can well guarantee the stable use of the generator set, which also effectively extends the service life of the diesel generator set to a certain extent. Therefore, it is necessary to accurately determine the replacement time of the diesel generator set during the use of the diesel generator set.
Choosing a good engine oil can make the car more durable and more powerful. Good engine oil, especially fully synthetic engine oil, can not only protect the engine and reduce the number of oil changes, but also save gasoline expenses. Therefore, its price is twice as expensive as ordinary oil, and it is the best choice for many car owners.
Special automobile oil is not necessarily suitable for your car. Park the vehicle on a horizontal surface, turn off the engine and wait for about 5 minutes. First, wipe the oil stains on the oil dipstick, insert it into the oil dipstick guide hole, and then pull it out to check.
The oil level is between the upper and lower scale lines, which is appropriate. If it exceeds the upper scale line, the excess oil should be released. If it is lower than the lower scale line, it should be added from the oil port. After 5 minutes, check the oil level again.
When adding oil, you should pay strict attention to cleaning and check for leakage. While checking the oil level, you should also pay attention to checking the degree of oil contamination.
