Oil Grade Classification

Classification by viscosity
10W-40 is its SAE standard viscosity value. This viscosity value first indicates that this engine oil is a multi-grade engine oil. W stands for WINTER. The number before W represents the flow performance at low temperature. The smaller the value, the better the starting performance at low temperature. The number after W represents the stability of the engine oil at high temperature (that is, the possibility of thinning). The larger the value, the better the stability of the engine oil at high temperature.
Four-stroke engine oil:
The viscosity grade classification of four-stroke engine oil is applicable to the classification of the American Society of Automotive Engineers and SAE classification
The winter oil grades of SAE lubricant oil viscosity classification are: 0W, 5W, 10W, 15W, 20W, 25W, the symbol W represents winter, the smaller the number before W, the smaller the low temperature viscosity, the better the low temperature flow, and the lower the minimum applicable temperature;
The summer oil grades of SAE lubricant oil viscosity classification are: 20, 30, 40, 50, the larger the number, the greater the viscosity, and the higher the maximum applicable temperature;
SA The winter and summer universal oil grades of E lubricating oil viscosity classification are: 5W-20, 5W-30, 5W-40, 5W-50, 10W-20, 10W-30, 10W-40, 10W-50, 15W-20, 15W-30, 15W-40, 15W-50, 20W-20, 20W-30, 20W-40, 20W-50. The smaller the number for winter use (the lower the minimum applicable temperature), the larger the number for summer use (the higher the maximum applicable temperature), and the larger the applicable temperature range.
Two-stroke engine oil:
The viscosity grade classification of two-stroke engine oil is applicable to the classification of the American Society of Automotive Engineers and the SAE classification.
There are two viscosity grades for two-stroke gasoline engine oil, namely SAE20 and SAE30. Generally, SAE30 is selected. If it is separated lubrication, used in cold areas or ultra-light load two-stroke engines, SAE20 is used.
