What factors will affect the use of NLGI Grease

Base oil: The viscosity, viscosity index, low temperature fluidity and other characteristics of the base oil are crucial to the lubrication effect.
Thickener: Different types of thickeners such as lithium-based, calcium-based, and composite lithium-based give grease different properties, such as water resistance and high temperature resistance.
Additives: Antioxidants, anti-wear agents, rust inhibitors and other additives can enhance the performance of grease.

Grease performance is significantly affected by temperature, load, and speed. At high temperatures, grease softens and loses, oxidation and base oil evaporation accelerate, and life is reduced; at low temperatures, grease hardens and fluidity deteriorates. Under high load conditions, Multipurpose NLGI3 grease needs to have sufficient oil film strength and extreme pressure resistance, otherwise it is easy to wear. High-speed running parts require good grease fluidity and shear resistance.

Equipment design: The structure, clearance, lubrication method, etc. of the equipment will affect the distribution and effect of the grease.
Equipment material: Different metal materials have different compatibility with grease, which may cause chemical reactions, affect the performance of the grease, or cause corrosion of the metal surface.

Water: A large amount of water entering will emulsify and deteriorate the grease, destroy the structure of the grease, and reduce its lubrication and protection properties.
Dust impurities: Dust, sand and other impurities mixed into Multipurpose Lithium Base Grease will aggravate wear and may also block the lubrication channel and affect the normal supply of grease.

Filling amount: Too much filling will increase the stirring resistance and generate too much heat; too little filling will not provide sufficient lubrication protection.
Replacement cycle: If the grease is not replaced on time, the performance of the grease will deteriorate, which will affect the lubrication of the equipment and increase wear.
