Transmission oil note

The transmission oil temperature of a vehicle is usually below 135°C when it is in normal driving. However, when the vehicle is overused, such as when towing an overloaded vehicle, or when the four-wheel drive mode is set to snow driving or off-road mode, the transmission oil temperature may reach 135°C.
When the transmission oil temperature reaches 135°C, the installed transmission oil overheating warning system will simultaneously display the message "Oo 135c" (Note: "Oo" means "Oil Overheating") and sound a bell to warn. The purpose of the warning is to actively remind the user to park the car, put the car in neutral, pull the handbrake and keep the engine at idle speed, so that the fluid circulation is in cooling mode for rapid cooling until the alarm signal is no longer displayed. This operation will avoid safety hazards caused by the continuous increase in oil temperature.
- If the user fails to take parking action in time after receiving the warning, the transmission oil overheating warning system will continue to sound the alarm, and the lubricating performance of the transmission oil will weaken as the oil temperature increases. When the oil temperature reaches 143℃, the transmission oil is likely to lose its lubricating properties, which will cause the internal components of the transmission to malfunction due to friction overheating.
The time between the 135℃ when the warning is issued and the 143℃ when the transmission oil loses its lubricating properties will vary greatly depending on the actual driving conditions. The time interval is the shortest in the most extreme conditions. For example, if the vehicle is stuck in the sand for a long time (20 minutes) and the wheels rotate slowly, the time interval from the warning to the oil temperature reaching 143℃ is about 25~35 seconds. If the user still fails to take effective action in time, causing the transmission oil temperature to soar and exceed 200℃, the transmission oil will boil or even splash. However, when using the vehicle correctly, it is very difficult for the transmission oil temperature to reach 135℃ from 115℃. Unless the vehicle is operated illegally, such as operating the engine in the red line zone for a long time, not using the transfer case correctly, and other wrong driving vehicles, it is possible that the oil temperature will continue to rise to 143℃ and an accident will occur.
